"if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

why do we think gibson is so knowledgeable about football?

re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

He's a lot more knowledgeable about the inner workings of management and football than anyone on here for a start.

Yeah, it's not like he's taken a 3rd division team on the verge of bankruptcy and masterminded their ascendancy to the premiership, delivered their first cup win and a number of cup finals.

He knows nowt.

re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

for me gibson does have the correct attitude and no doubt he is the man for the job.

however...his JOBS FOR THE BOYS POLICY has reached its conclusion in my opinion.

lamb, fordy, allen, southgate and cooper. all people who in my opinion are in jobs most people would walk over hot coals for with little or no experience or prior knowledge on how to do their jobs.

re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

That's weird because Lamb, Fordy and Allan have all got many years of experience.

re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

think it's a trust issue with Gibson. He likes to keep people close to him and isnt fond of outsiders. Bit of a Boro thing

sasboro Posted on 26/10 10:49
re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

he doesnt like outsiders coming in and potentially rocking the boat. He like managers to do things his way and know they think like him and he can trust them. If southgate ever leaves i can only see 3 people in with a shout in this order cooper, mogga and ince. or someone who is recommended to him by someone he trusts

Keith Lamb does a great job for the club.

"no experience or prior knowledge on how to do their jobs".. how about 20 years as an accountant? oh, and he used to play in the teesside league too

re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

If i was running this board i would banner The Lizards Jumpers statement right at the top, so everytime some idiot had a go at Gibson we could point out it to them, without him we wouldnt have a club !!! FFS

re: "if Gibson thinks he's the man for the job"

Like I said in a previous thread " We are Boro nobody else if the man at the top has faith in the people he directly employs then so should we . Instead of screaming for peoples heads lets do something different like erm support the FULL team for fooks sake "
