| I am officially disillusioned with football | |
Not just Boro but with the game as a whole. I'm sick to death of the cheating, players whinging at refs and linesmen about everything and the prices amongst other stuff. I'm starting to not even look forward to going to Boro games anymore, summit i'd of thought unthinkable a couple of years ago. How do i reignite the flame?

Its not just you its happening to a lot of people. I dont have the fire in me belly for the Saturday game as I did 2 seasons ago. The gap between the supporter and the over-paid, under performing namby pambies is so massive they have lost the respect of the fan base. It will only get worse as the money further dominates the game

I just want us to play with passion, that first 10-15 mins of the second half was what it's all about. It's a shame they seemed to shat themselves and go into their shells as soon as they saw Berbatov and Keane come on.

I will not be renewing come the end of the season. So many seats left, I can save money as I travel from Cramlington everytime we're at home. Costs me £20 diesel, and the around £33 per game average, and that is not including the food and tea/coffee etc. I'll have to cut my own costs like Gibbo and bring a flask! So every other week thereabouts I'm spending £53 ish. Not cheap to watch cack that...cheaper to go to a garden centre and sit in front of the compost! I wish we could/would get a good manager - the crying shame is that the team DO have potential, just that Gareth is out of his depth. Left unchecked, we'll be Fizzy pop next year and he'll still be here. I'm really worried.

Once upon a time i would watch any match that was on tv. I would take time off work to watch England games or any game that had anything riding on it now i wouldn't go out of my way to watch any game realy apart from if a english team got to a european final or if england got to a major championship and i got mixed up in the whole we can win it attitude.

me too dude, i'm past the point of caring nowadays, for more interesting things going on than football, it's dull and appeals to the lowest common denominator

As a Newcastle fan i stopped going years ago. When SBR was in charge in was 25 pound a ticket and the football was entertaining, even if we lost. Now they charge nigh on 46 pound a ticket and they are fu(king shiit.

No matter what happens this season or for everafter - no matter how disillusioned i get - one thing for certain i know - is that my season ticket will be renewed (also i am now a ra ra !) It's the only time my husband an i get a couple of hours to ourselves !! and like he says ( the old romantic he is !) that's 20 plus dates he takes me on a year !!! football clubs can't be chosen (unless you're a russian billionaire) you're born into them and you're stuck with them ) UP THE BORO !!!!!
