Wireless Router HELP - Someone Else's!!

If i can get on the net using someone elses wireless internet - which i have... can they tell? or am I safe until my broadband gets installed next week

Do whatever you like, they will have no logging to that layer of application traffic, and would need a packet sniffer to decode what you were doing.

Probably best not to download movies etc, or they will notice the speed dip like a mofo!

Like I said, they should have it protected - the fat they do not leaves it wide open to abuse, would not surprise me if half the road were on it!

Im not trying to get it for free though.

I have arranged for broadband, and have had my letter through about the date it will be up and running.

when setting this laptop up it asked me to choose my connection. i couldnt continue until i had done so. There was one not requesting a password so i clicked it.

I will be changing it as soon as my broadband is set up. Well, as long as i can find out how to change it x
