When was the last time you looked forward....

...to going to a game?

I find going to the match depressing now, i wasnt looking forward to going on saturday and knew that we would get beat.

It takes 6 hours out of my day, it expensive, cold, crap atmosphere and the football is diabolical.

This has been going on for too long now and the crowds are gonna get lower and lower as the football is getting worse every week.

re: When was the last time you looked forward

The away games are only good cos of the crack with the lads etc and that is the only thing I like about the home games , meeting up with my mates in the pub before the game , as for the rest of the experience it is crap and I dont see it improving in the near future.

re: When was the last time you looked forward

look forward to every away DAY not really the game, the majority of the time, the actual match puts a downer on an otherwise good day. Home games...well I dread them now, that walk to the ground seems to get longer by the game.

re: When was the last time you looked forward

Away games are class, especially on the party bus.

Result can sometimes put a downer on proceedings but only until you have a drink or two on the bus on the way back.

But then again there's days out like Wigan last season which was a class day all round.

Home games are pants though, i often feel more inclined just to stand in the concourse and watch the match on the tele's but they close the bar. Harsh I feel.

re: When was the last time you looked forward

I looked forward to the first home game of the season, and the Sunderland / Newcastle games, but other than that I no longer get that excitement about home games anymore.

Remember those days at Ayresome where the crowd would start singing 15min before kick off, the flood lights, the green grass - especially at the night games. Of course there were bad games / seasons at Ayresome, but the atmosphere at least always seemed better.
