JuninhosMagicHat Posted on 29/03/2012 08:40
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

we should do what Bolton did the year we annihilated them! - season ticket holders got to buy an extra ticket for every season ticket - as long as there are enough tickets left over for boro pride members I'm good with that system!

S63_Boro Posted on 29/03/2012 08:47
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Tickets should go to season ticket holders first then Boro Pride then ticket stub holders from the last 3 home games, which should hopefully mean a full ground. This will hopefully then stop the I'm not going again until McClaren, Southgate, Strachan, Lamb (delete as needed) have gone.

JuninhosMagicHat Posted on 29/03/2012 08:53

yeh - ticket stubs is a good idea - but should be for every game from now on - home and away!

Season tickets should get them all.
Then they can do as they please with them after that. Sell them, give them away, or just rip them up.

Its a sense of power us proper fans have deserved for the last few years [^]

I personally think a random selection of ST holders (much like jury service) should be chosen and asked to sit in the ticket office if the PO final tickets go on general sale.

Then when each part timer comes through the door, the ST holders can ask a few questions or recent attendance etc and make a decision whether or not they deserve a ticket.

If we do decide to allow the part time filth to the final, they should be cornered off into their own area and made visibly known to the proper fans by all having to wear a yellow bib with 'PT Scum' on the front and 'Up the Boro' on the back just to not deflect all attention away from the team [^]

icarus1965 Posted on 29/03/2012 10:07

season ticket holders should only get one ticket..(afterall you have one seat at the riverside)
seem to recall in 2004 when bolton fans got more than one ticket, they was alot of complaints saying that was unfair.

I think there needs to be an algorithm to take into account
annual income, savings, distance (in kilometers) you live from The Riverside, where you were born and how tall you are.
That will give the priority list for tickets and there would be no argument.

Everybody who will want to go will get a ticket - no issue.

Of course we would. We'd probably get, what, around 36-37,000 tickets for it? We'd sell the lot. Second-tier play-off finals always sell-out.

Personally don't think we have chance - IF we manage to pull some form from somewhere to stay in the top 6, I think we will get banged over 2 legs by any of the teams around us.

Would be a class weekend if we did make it to final mind, weekend in LANDAN then I'm gracing the Riverside's turf on the Sunday night :)

I'll be at wembley Saturday for a bit of rugby and a blast of Mcfly as an added bonus should be a good day out.

Might wander down to the PO final if Boro get there as I'm only a couple of miles away but probably just end up in the pub rather than the match as has happened both times I've got near a game this season

UAUA Posted on 29/03/2012 10:37
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

"Second-tier play-off finals always sell-out. "

No they dont.

Theres no way we would sell that many tickets. It may sell out if we were playing West Ham however as they would have a lot more fans there.

Billy you make me sick.

viv_andersons_nana Posted on 29/03/2012 10:42
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

The last four finals have all got over 80,000 people in for them. The few before that were around 70-75,000(some played in Cardiff?).

So we'd probably be looking at around 35,000 tickets each(then 15,000+ for corporates and that). Boro could shift 35,000 tickets for a play-off final. I'm sure of it.

Though I accept that I was wrong when I stated that play-off finals always sell-out.

London_smoggie Posted on 29/03/2012 10:42

Teams are entitled to 38000 tickets (or thereabouts).

We simply wouldnt sell them, and there certainly would be any problem getting a ticket. However no doubt there would be a silly panic only for there to be plenty left over at the end - as there were in the big semi finals etc when we got loads of tickets.

Roofie wouldn't go to Burnley as the 4 hour train journey back was too much.

It appears to take about 3 hours back from Wembley, not including delays due to the crowd size, so he's probably not going to bother with if we get there.[^][;)]

LWO_Champ Posted on 29/03/2012 12:41

It simply wont do for us ST holders to have to mix with PT'rs down Wembley Way.

Such riff raff should be kept apart from serious supporters, in pens full of straw on the ground to soak up the bodily fluids.

As we genuine fans walk past, they should doth their caps and lower their heads as a mark of respect.

I grant you that away fans are a cut above the PT'rs, so these types should be allocated second class tickets, once us ST holders have gorged ourselves on our allocation.

But even then, how do we filter out the once-a-season away fan? Perhaps the dirt under their fingernails would give it away?

Boro have to put some restrictions on.

I never had any intention of going to Eindhoven but knew I would struggle to get a ticket. Then to see 4 or 5 people I know who had been to 3 home european matches between them go knocked me sick.

Season ticket holders have first choice, and then an extra 1 for people they might to get one for, then the others can get one if there is any left.

We couldnt sell 30,000 tickets for a Uefa cup Quarter final or for our last FA cup semi final.

How on earth are we goin to sell 40k?

The only way a playoff final would sell out (if we got in it)would be if the other team sold about 2 thirds of the tickets.

"S'cuse me sir, which way it it to the football ground"

Foam fingers are like soooo 1998.

People like me make this club what it is, without me it would be nothing. I am the glue that holds the very foundations of Teesside together. Middlesbrough are known across Europe because of the continued support from myself, and a couple others... This is why, as a proper fan, I am better than you.

You make me sick.

He wasn't as he was stood in the line in front of me collecting his ST at the next home game from the ticket booth as they confiscated it from him when he threw it. Sounded like a mackem too the tit

Struggling to get out of the Championship and financially crippled. Thanks for your contiunued support Lee. You're clearly doing a massive service. You're a little trooper.

PS you're not Ray Mallon are u? Just sounded like one of his passionate MR Teesside speaches. Churchillian it wasn't

Unlike yourself, pop along for Sunderland, Newcastle or Manchester United.

You make me sick.

I'll hack out the rough times so that scummers can enjoy the prem years again.

Shame on you.

London_smoggie Posted on 29/03/2012 16:59
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

I don't pop along to anything mate. I've supported the club through thick and thin for years and until moving out of the area attended as many homes games as possible. I now go when I get home and most away days. I'm just sick of tossers like u on here who seem to think that cos u buy a season ticket (ripping the club off) u have some devibne right to slate those who cant attend for varioous geographical and economic reasons. It's the lack of support and negitivity the season ticket holders generate on a match day that has spread to the players and ruined our home form. Turning up is not the definition of fanatical. You're a poor excuse for a fan. Proper fan's don't try to devide like u ST holders do. U pull together for a common cause. You're the problem not others

Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

don't let him have a ticket, i think we should have a boro's got talent where each part timer (spits on floor) competes to earn a play off final ticket with the winner allowed to have 2 seats next to the season ticket holders.

I do feel the part timers should be made to wear a star around there neck to show they are non season ticket holders and therefore dirty

I bet Steve Gibson hates those pesky season ticket holders.

Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Well yes it's all very well slating us ST holders but the club would go under with all the once a year Johnnies.

They go once and pay their £23 and think that entitles em to a Wembley ticket! Well it doesn't.

That's why they sing and dance and make noise. It's the novelty of it all. Ban em I say!

Jonny_Rondos_Disco_pants Posted on 29/03/2012 19:55

I'll go to Wembley and not go to any games next season.

Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

You may go to Wembley johnny but we won't let u in. You can climb on the roof of a nearby building and peer over.

You might get on the telly.

They will be just ST holders inside and empty seats.

bill_door Posted on 29/03/2012 20:12
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

If I happen to get seated next to a part-timer, I'll just tell a steward that they told me they support the opposition and offered me out after the match round the back of Tesco.

Hopefully they'll get a banning order and will miss their annual visit to the Riverside next season.[^]

Why would anyone be bothered?

Season ticket holders are going to be guarenteed.

We should get a large enough allocation anyone who goes semi regularly should get a seat too.

I've been to 9 games and hope i'd get a seat. I wouldn't expect one ahead of a season ticket holder, but after them then it's up to you to get 'em sorted out as soon as possible.

I'd rather be roared on by 40,000 filled out with part timers rather than 15,000.

tizza Posted on 29/03/2012 21:39
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

season ticket holders should get first choice as they commit to the club and what ever is left can go out to the boro pride then non season ticket holders (thats the most fair and best way to do it) simple

onthemap Posted on 29/03/2012 21:41
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

@tizza

I don't think anyone has a problem with season ticket holders getting first bite, the point argued by these superfans is that anyone who hasn't been to the Riverside this season shouldn't be at Wembley at all.

Lee_Miller_Fan_Club Posted on 30/03/2012 08:59
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

As i've said above, the fairest way to decide if these part time scummers get a ticket or not is a ST Panel, lead by a proper fan, someone like myself, who then can take each part timer case on its individual merit and give it a [^] or [V]

London_smoggie Posted on 30/03/2012 09:46
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Ha ha ha what deluded idea's of grandeur u must have Mr Miller if u think anyone would put an idiot like u in charge of ticket alloction. The only thing you're capable of being in charge of is the one man member club that is the Lee Miller Fan Club

viv_andersons_nana Posted on 30/03/2012 09:49
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Make sure all your season-ticket holders get one then put them on general sale and shift as many as you can. No need to be arsing about. Just get them on sale. Who cares who goes? The more tickets sold the better for everyone.

jimmy_james Posted on 30/03/2012 09:52
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

The part timers have a much better attitude to the Boro as they have not booed the team as much as the ST holders.

If you have booed then your ticket should be void.

Lee_Miller_Fan_Club Posted on 30/03/2012 10:01
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Will someone tell that cockney to pipe down. [rle]

Anywho, i like the idea of not allowing the boo boys too, however if they have had a ST for over 15 years, then they are MFC royalty so are allowed to do as they please.

I still think the panel is the fairest way forward, or alternatively any tickets that would go on general sale become free when a ST is bought.... that way the part time scummers lose the part time title as they now have a ST AND a ticket to the final - jobs a good 'un.

London_smoggie Posted on 30/03/2012 10:17
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Anyone who has paid full price for a ticket just once for a league game should get preference instead of the parasites that are the STD holders. Paying reduced prices for every games and looking down your nose if someone dare to buy a junior ticket. You're just as bad. Actually you're worse

Lee_Miller_Fan_Club Posted on 30/03/2012 10:35
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Dont be silly.
As ST holders thats exactly what the club expect of us. Single out the scummers, highlight their inefficiencies as 'fans' and shame them into turning up more than once a year, or when sunderland come to town. [:I]

there will be enough to go round.

first dabs for the 14,000 season ticket holders. then pride cards, then general public. we will get over 30,0000 tickets so plenty spare. should all be done by postal or online applications. no need to queue for the final

the tough one will be the play off semi final 2nd leg especially if we were at home in the first leg and got a good result

Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

U might even get beyond the A19 mate. Imagine that? Little old u in the bright lights of London. And for the record I gave my STD up 5 years ago after 20 years. I got sick of sat in a ground with a bunch of heartless cranks who think that by merely turning up u are a passionate fan. Our STD holders are an embarrassment to the club with the pathetic support u give on a match day. I for one will only buy one again if we get some of the proper disillusioned supporters back, cos the current crop are a pitiful bunch

Lee_Miller_Fan_Club Posted on 30/03/2012 11:12

We had david Currie up front when I first bought mine chief and were in the old 3rd division, so I think I'm qualified to judge the current crop of librarians we have unfortunately let have STD's

Lee_Miller_Fan_Club Posted on 30/03/2012 11:22
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

Unfortunately it doesnt.

You deserted Boro because you didnt fancy it anymore.

Probably distracted by Fulhams decent run in the Europa a couple of seasons back and thought you'd have a slice of that instead.

Be a 'fan' of them for a while, until that turned sour too.

London_smoggie the super fan to all clubs (if they are doing well)...

London_smoggie Posted on 30/03/2012 11:33
Are you going to Wembley even if youve not been all season?

That's the lamest retort ever. Ha ha Good try though. I just stick to travelling round the country with the proper fans now at the away days. I leave running the club into the ground to doyles like u who get the bus to North ormesby for the Big one v Doncaster. Might get it to the Cardiff one next week. And for the record the vast majority of the STD holders now still going are the RA ra's who jumped on the bandwagon during the 90's not the other way round. U only have to sit next to them for 15 minutes to hear there lack of knowledge on the game. Take care I think you're going to need it Lee

that's a hell of a generalisation re STD holders - I sit with my son, brother and mates and all of us have been going for a long time (OK,my son is only 16 so not him really) - many people around us are the same!

Lee_Miller_Fan_Club Posted on 30/03/2012 11:38

That in itself would be a big ask for you though, sitting next to one of our ST holders,.... in fact sitting in the Riverside would be a good start.

P.S - If you lot can keep hold of Pavel Pogrebnyak i think next season could be your year [^]

You'll have had a right rollercoaster of emotion this year then pal.

Bought a QPR ST in august when they got promoted... ripped it up mid season slump, around Warnock sacking....

Then had to go buy another one in January when Cisse, Zamora and Hughes all came in... just to have to rip it up again now they are playing crap.

The trials and tribulations of a super fan ey mate! [8D]
