Basic mistakes by Capello

Green not experienced enough for this size of match, should have stuck with James.

We all know Heskey is a good target player but struggles to score goals, as ungainly as Crouch looks he does put the ball in the net for England.

Not enough goals in the squad. Darren Bent should have gone to South Africa whether Rooney likes playing alongside him or not.

Lampard and Gerrard, no further comment needed.

No left sided winger in the team, making do with Wright Phillips out of position, shocking at this level.

The team is too old, it needs some young blood prepared to run at defenders. Look what Lennon did when he got the ball in good positions, he opened it up.

I've been a fan of Capellos up to now but I thought England looked stale and old hat this evening.

Agree with most of that. Lampard doesn't do it in an England shirt often enough for me. When you think of how dominant he is in the premiership, scoring and creating umpteen goals, compare that to his output for England in recent years. To be fair, he had a half-decent effort with his left foot late on, but it was straight above Howard's head.
