Put it this way, he's a million times better than Williams.

"Does Robsons job. We dont need him"

So is Robson immune from injury and suspensions ?

For a free it is defiantly worth it for a season.

He'd probably expect too much money anyway.

For a similar player, I'd go for Hayden Mullins. He'd add steel to the midfield.

I can't see him wanting to much to be honest. Nothing that we couldn't afford.

Id prefer Mullins but Carsley wouldn't be the end of the world, would be decent back up I suppose.

if you want to add steel to our midfield then the Boat is available on a free, I reckon he would come back on a one year deal.

why is the boat finished here? He couldn't work under Gareth, do you blame him?

Would rather have George back for a year on a free. He's been a regular for Hull and been one of their best players (Admittedly most of the rest are shlte!)

"why is the boat finished here? He couldn't work under Gareth, do you blame him?"

Actually we only offered him a one year contract, when Hull offered two on a bigger salary.

Nothing to do with Southgate.

Boateng was still under contract. Don't know if he had one or two years left on it though. If he had one year left, maybe the deal he was offered reflected him not being in the manager's plans, i.e. that he would be a squad player.

I think a similar thing happened with Higgy. He didn't get the deal he was hoping for as Robson was only going to use him as a squad player.

XXXXXX me you lot are a sucker for punishment. Spend all season moaning our midfield is too slow and cant score, and them the 2 suggestions are lee carsley and george boatend, that'll bring back the the pace in our midfield [|)]

We've missed George the last two years, but He's in his mid-30s now. Robson is a bit younger, though not much. We need a box-to-box player to get on the end of things and link up with the forwards to partner Robson. If he came back, he'd be on vastly reduced wages compared to two years ago.
