Just seen the Zola interview on Mido

Went something along the lines of.........

"he has a great attitude"

[:D]

well i suppose he does

first let me state he was not a great striker

he argued with southgate that as the top scorer he should have been the number1 striker ahead of alves and aliadiere

all he wanted to do was score goals which was against southgates principles
he did not want to be subbed for egypt.

I take it you,d like him back then?

He did not want to be subbed for Egypt. you,re right he never wanted to be subbed at anytime but you can,t expect to be shytte and stay on the field,he thought he was above being subbed whatever he was playing like and most of the time he was playing crap.
I don,t ever want to see this asshole play football again, if England were playing Egypt in the World Cup Final and he was playing I would turn the tele off.
He is a disgrace to the beautiful game and I,m amazed that such a great pro and credit to the game has taken him on.Although I dare say circumstances have played a bigger part than judgement.

Well, he is a very good striker - if he wasn;'t he wouldn't have a goal average of around 1 in 2 and he's far batter than Aliadiere and Alves. The fact he was benched when fit and scoring early last season was stupidity on Southgate's part. Having said that, it probably won't be long before he's causing trouble again.

"well i suppose he does"

I wonder if any of his ex-managers agrees with that assessment.

he was a striker that was being chased by sland and brum ( both struggling clubs at the time ) and we as the big team ( at the time ) got him.

we got him cos aliadiere and tuncay were not good enough and yakubu had left, so he was a last ditch signing.

would i have him back, well he is still our player till 2011 so yes cos it would be an absolute stupid idiot who would throw a tantrum and not have a player back because southgate wuld not play the inform striker.

He is a joke, totally unprofessional. His goal record has only been 1 in 2 during his time in Holland by the way, he had 2 decent seasons with Marseille and Spurs but apart from that he hasn't been great.

His record for Zamalek this season 1 in 15...he's a fat mess.

Mido is a talent. A good manager will get the best out of him, but he will be nothing but trouble to a weak manager - like Southgate.

Southgate was a pretty weak manager...but to be fair Mido has acted the coont at all his clubs; Including his recent spell at Zamalek.

Souness was trouble at Spurs. Cantona was kicked out of every club in France.

Problem players like Mido need a special kind of management.

Get Capello as manager, he would sort him out [ref]

Strange that Marsaille, Roma, Spurs, Celta Vigo (etc) all had weak managers too.

Marsaille, Roma, Spurs, Celta Vigo.... ajax and zamalek

Very strange signing this one and it smacks of desperation from zola as mido doesn't strike me as a zola style player

Capello wouldn't have him anywhere near a team he managed. Mido has no respect for his team mates and would be a negaitive force anywhere...ref. his performance in the crossbar challenge. XXXXXX.
He isn't that good either. Sheffield United's defence had him in their pocket, and that was when he was relatively fit.

Relatively fit? relative to what? a Zambezi Hippo?

As for a 1 in two scoring statistic I won,t even bother checking that.Because I suspect that statistic is off Mido,s CV.
He,s the most up his own ass unprofessional player ever to disgrace our game.

everytime i saw him on the pitch he had a fantastic attitude. His debut against fulham he was clearly injured, but put in a proper shift. Always one of the hardest working players on he field whenever i saw him.

off the pitch he's a XXXXXX.

Is he a Zola signing though? I have a feeling that the new owners signed him.

Zola's the manager. If he didn't sign him he should have left by now. Either that or they're certainties to go down with a manager without balls.

The area I remember him putting in most effort was gobbing at the ref.

Head and shoulders better than any player we have at the club. It's a shame that the bridges seem to have been burnt, I think he would tear this division apart as our number one striker.

if you are paying 1k per week .. and want six weeks of effort

bargain

they should have got him in in early march though

I think some people have very rose-tinted memories of Mido.

Yes, he started like a house on fire each time he got back in to the team, but his performances then would tail off quite as he gained weight and lost fitness, and generally got it into the head that he was the best thing that had ever happened to us.

Note that his one really decent season was on loan at Spurs, once he'd signed for them permanntly his form nosedived.

Muttley Posted on 07/02/2010 11:53

I'd rather dress a sloppy turd in our number nine shirt and prop it up in the centre circle for the rest of the season than have that waste of oxygen anywhere near our town let alone the team.

Spoilt rich kid with talent but zero application or dedication.

Head and shoulders better than any player we have at the club?
What an insult to the likes of GON, POG and others who give it their all in every game they play.
It,s a shame that the bridges SEEM to have been burnt? what an under statement that is. The bridges were blasted to smithereens rather than suffering from a fire.
The man is a total waste of space and what talent he has is a waste as well.
You,d get more effort on the field from a guy with no legs.He is shytte, pure unadulterated shytte and should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.
He has an unhealthy disrespect for all and sundry.

Dead right MUTTLEY give me the turd anyday.

Would you have a nice bloke up front for us who would be lucky to score 5 goals between now and the end of the season, or a very unlikable bloke that could get somewhere between 10 and 20 goals?

Some of you sound hysterical.

intheblood Posted on 07/02/2010 15:15
Just seen the Zola interview on Mido

You don,t seem to get it do you?
What I am saying is, I wouldn,t give this disrespectful pile of shytte houseroom never mind room in our football club.
Every year officials at clubs have to carry out what they describe as the most difficult task in football,That is to tell a lot of youngsters their time at a club is up.
These kids have given up a lot of their childhood to work hard and immerse themselves into trying to achieve their goal of being a professional footballer only to be told they have just fell short.
This piece of crap obviously has been blessed with the ability and treats it,the people he works for, the people he works with and the supporters of the various clubs he,s played for with the utmost contempt.
I love my club but I don,t want us being represented by any disrespectful asshole at any cost as long as he scores goals,I,d rather leave that attitude to them up the road.
Hysterical? call it what you like,If that,s what you call wanting a team that we can be proud of on and off the field, then I suppose I,m guilty.
