Stalingrad - Antony Beevor

Just a quick post to thank the lads on here who recommended Antony Beevors book Stalingrad to me on a thread a couple of months back about Azincourt.

Got the wife to get me it for my birthday, absolutely brilliant book, I'm now on Berlin.

I think you sort of know from what you hear growing up that the Russian Front was carnage but this book brings home the shear scale of it and I don't think people generally know the 6th Army starved to death. A big eye opener for me, should be compulsory history in schools.

The Eastern Front was absolute fukkin madness and the book is an excellent description of it
