..for the total discusting - disrespect they showed towards the UK armed forces , loved ones, family & friends of our UK forces currently in the middle east.

i posted up a link for " HELP FOR HEROES "

and they basically asked why on earth would any person want to support our armed forces in the middle east, words of scum were used i believ against help for heroes charity for injured troops and there families..

i hope something was done since yesterday..

qoutes from them both were border line anti british and pro something els...

the qoutes from them both were far far worse , than any peedo - joke claims about us boro fans

can some one put up again what they both said. please

Plonker, I think most people recognise that the soldiers in Afghanistan are in a dangerous situation. But thats their job, they dont become heroes just for putting on the hat.

I hope they all come back safely and have tremendous sympathy for those with relatives out there.

I've a bit less sympathy with you though, unless this is a wind up, in which case well done, you've nailed it. Getting worked up to such a state and then justifying it by having a couple of relatives who died 90 years ago is comedy genius. Keep it up.

And for what its worth I see nothing fundamentally heroic about occupying another country and murdering civilians. Its another example of us interfering where we have no justification for doing so.

i am just a thick idiot who cant spell and i obviosly have a much , much lower I.Q than stephen fry - god bless him, he seems a good type of guy, sound as pound infact..

now theres a good bloke for you... he has it all upstairs... he too sufferd from a terrible mental illness, not much far off what service personell suffer , a shocking 60 people in the forces suffer from per month it is estimated.

take for example soldiers returning FROM THE FRONT LINE in the middle east in the past short years - IRAQ & AFGAN...

Some of those may have been suffering from traumas experienced early on in the conflict, which would have gone undetected for two years or more... evry member of a soldiers family are effected, it is like a totally different person sitting in your living room i suspect, marriages break up, police envolved in some cases... ex soldiers become homeless ( i dont know what shelters stats are but i am sure its 20 % plus become down and outs ) no wonder mind from the horrific things they prob' have witnessd, all this , that your normal bloke in the street wouldnt expect in his worsed of worsed nightmares.....

and then ofcors what about all the horrific injuries last week , yesterday and today...that dont get reported in the media, the poor lads..

i do wonder why we dont get the injury total weekly on the beeb, of what exactly is happnening on the injury front from both mental and life threatning body injuries

i think..this would make the public more aware and probably boost the charity HELP FOR HEROES coffers massivley.

google search >>>

HELP FOR HEROES chairty

and buy some wrist bands now to sell to your work mates and family, do a good turn for our forces that are in a not nice place, at this moment in there lives..................

plonker - you're a bellend son.

so what you're saying is these people that willing signed up to take the queens pound and play at toy soldiers and galavanting around the world - at the tax payers expense - learning how to ski, parachute, rock climb etc etc, shoul dnot actually have to go to war and be shot at.

so the fact they signed up knowing full well that they could see active service and get shot at is unfair, and the fact that they signed up to fight wherever they were sent - regardless of who thinks the war there is justified or not - is neither here nor there.

d1ckhead.

how on earth can me, partaking in a public web forum about a good charity to give to, be a sinking ship..

HELP FOR HEROES >>>

We understand that the reason people give money to Help for Heroes is to make a real difference to the lives of our wounded men and women.

Most of the donations have come in from ordinary decent people who might never have responded to a service charity before, much of it raised by those people actually doing something.

For example, a staggering 1.35 million was raised by the 300 or so saddle sore riders on our Halfords Help for Heroes Bike Ride and over 1million has come from the readers of The Sunday Times and The Sun. 1.4 Million was raised at Twickenham in a single wonderful day and 1.5 Million was raised at a ball but most donations are small but there are lots of them.

If you have ridden 350 miles, swum the channel, climbed a mountain, rowed the Atlantic, run across a desert, trekked a thousand miles, held a ball, shot a clay pigeon, jumped out of a serviceable aircraft, or filled Twickenham, sold a thousand cakes or done some other amazingly imaginative event to raise some money, you will want to know that your efforts are appreciated

NedKat Posted on 12/08/2009 16:49

Plonker, if this is something you personally feel very strongly about, then you carry on. I see both sides of the argument, these men and women do take the King's Shilling, and they know the consequences.

Some of the previous posters opinions are absolutely pathetic in their lack of knowledge and understanding. I've never heard a British Soldier whinge about anything, and the amount of real heroes out there is quite staggering.

Most of the posters here have never served their country, and simply haven't had the experience needed to offer a comment. I genuinely feel for the lads and lasses and their families who have given the ultimate sacrifice. The wounded who come home maimed and disfigured. They signed on the old dotted line, and ended up not so lucky.

I don't think the general public are 100% behind this far away war, the fighting man has been somewhat forgotten. It's happened before, and it'll happen again ! What people need to understand is the plain and simple fact that the Army follows orders without question and to the best of their ability. They're all out there fighting the Taliban and Al Queda to protect our citizens from attack. It's the right thing to do !!!

Plonker, thanks for all your efforts in supporting our military.

i agree ned mate. however pressganging was outlawed several hundred years ago. theyre not really serving their country - theyre working/doing a job/starting a career. the serving your country bit is a romanticism if you ask me.

put it this way. what exactly would they be serving if there was no conflict that required their presence for say 30 years? they would have had 30 years mooching around the world thats what [:D]

Romanticism ?

Can't remember anything romantic about being stuck 300 feet below the surface of the sea, with another 110 other sweaty blokes !

Can't remember anything romantic about doing night patrols on the border between Gautamala and British Honduras, with some nut taking pot shots at me.

Can't remember much romance when I was knocking tons of ice of the superstructure for countless frozen hours.

Oh, and I only did 20 years of the mooching around.

serving your country is a romanticism if you ask me ned, its the romantic notion of serving one's country for the greater good.

defending the shores against the bosch.

when in reality, like you say, you are pratting around on manouvres getting cold etc.

they sell the army as see the world and get paid for doing it. if they were more truthfull and said "see the world, probably get shot at during active service, possibly die or get wounded - but get paid for it" i dont think they'd get many wanting to join up.

they romanticise the idea of what the army is about, and leave out the actual nitty gritty of what it entails.

and 20 years of mooching at the tax payers expense is a canny screw neddy old chap [:D]

In the thread where Plonker goes mental about having his original thread deleted, someone (it may have been Brick) posted up a link to it. Within that thread was a link to some other site (Up the Arz or something) where someone called Ridsdale had started a thread about how Plonker and the Army were being battered by Beemishboro.

Now you either knew all that as it was you, or it wasn't as someone impersonated you.

I'v a lot of respect for those who are posted to the middle east, or enagaged in live combat, I dont think you can know what its really like to have your life placed in such danger unless you experience it at first hand.

But as for categorising all of our armed sorces as hero's; I dont particularly subscribe to that arguement.

Anyone who has seen the antics of some squaddies on a night out will know what I mean. I think Yarm is the most recent place to suffer.

Plonker. With all the time you've spent on here frantically arguing against what some nasty men have said, you could of quite easily had a charity box, with a big sign saying, "Help for Heroes" in Middlesbrough Town Centre and earned alot more. Disagree on this one. We're there for oil as usual. Same as we were for the Falklands, same as Iraq.

It's all simple for me. If you sign up, you should know full well that you might get into some active and nasty situations. My cousin's been in for about 7 years now and has spent time in Basra, Helmand, Northern Ireland, Germany and Cyprus. He is now in Canada doing not very much apart from playing Ice Hockey every weekend.

I will always support the armed forces but they should know what they're signing up for. I've always been one to question the actions and intentions of our government. Perhaps the people who join the forces aren't? They do what they're told. By doing this, they aren't automatically heroes but occasionally have the chance to perform heroic deeds.

Ive just read through this thread, ( i usually read through posts on this message board on a sunday over a nice fresh ground coffee )and i can't understand why this guy plonker only had few posts backing him up.

If anything this guy, is deeply passionate about this charity and its good cause.

to be fair plonker, your views aren't what makes you a moron, its how you've expressed them.

yes, its a legitimate charity, but you've got to wind your neck in, youve done more harm than good
