She's only been working for me for 4 weeks, 20 years old, really pretty and with a great personality and sense of humour. After a couple of weeks of her working for me we were on a works night out, got drunk and one thing led to another. I thought it was just one of those things but it has continued and I think people at work are starting to suspect that something is going on. Worst of all is that I'm really falling for her and she is the same, she has been dropping hints today about me leaving my wife for her. What am I going to do aaaarrggghhh!?!?!?!?! | |

Wally, I do have insomnia which I have mentioned in the past but usually get to sleep for a few hours at least. The last three nights I've been still awake at 6am. I do have an office at home which I use during the evening and weekends and am sitting here now, I also have an office in the city centre for all the staff where I am be found during the day when not travelling. | |

Bri - I feel for you, if this is not a crank post. Sometimes things happen but only if you're not 100% happy in the relationship with your wife. Yes someone else has 'turned your attention' but you have to be honest with yourself and think 'was it just a matter of time'? I'm not offering an opinion (if I was I stay with the one that swallows and takes it up the dirtbox, sorry thats just me!) merely suggesting that you take a look at your life as a whole and realise that if you still have a wonderful relationship with your wife and are 100% happy with her, then ditch the secretary. Bri do you want some advise? You can take this any way you like, I am not being personal with what I am going to say but I am going to be very honest. You are married with children = life is plodding along, you are used to having your wife around and the kids and you feel comfortable or in other words its ok but you are a bit bored. You are 35, a lovely 20 year old who is fit and very nice like you, she likes you enough to make a play for you = you are totally flattered, you feel a rush of feeling great about yourself and wakes up the person inside yo that seems to have been long gone, so long gone you had even forgotten he existed. I dont know exactly how far things have gone with this other lady that you are "in love" with but may I tell you this, your wife deep down will know something isnt right, no matter how much you try to hide it. If your wife finds out she will either be a) relieved, at last she can get rid of you cos she hates your guts and has been thinking of ways of getting rid of you anyway or b) Totally and utterly devastated. My guess is that it is guilt that is keeping you awake and wanting to know what you should do for your future. You have only known this young lady for 4 weeks, I am sorry to have to tell you that you are in lust, not love. There is nothing wrong with this at all as long as you dont act on it. My advise would be to put this young lady out of your mind by stop flirting and maybe have a word saying you cant go on like this as you really like her but am married and want that to work. At the same time work on your marriage and try to get that spark back between you and your wife. Have an honest chat to her.... DONT mention this other woman, that might ease your guilt but thats your problem, NOT HERS... tell her you want to spend more quality time out, just you and her because you want to be happy and you arnt right at the moment, not fully. Susy, your advice is the best I have read on here so far. Most of what you say is quite true except for the lust part, it is about feelings, not the physical aspect. It's already gone very far, I have an apartment in another city which we have been making use of quite frequently which I am there often anyway for business purposes so it's not suspicious. I wasnt going to say anything about this until I read the part where bri said 'Kids are tougher than you imagine, they get over it.' You cant love your kids much if this is your attitude towards them. Just because someone CAN get over something it doesnt mean you should put them through it. If some psycho was to attack your precious 20 year old and do something truly terrible to her which would change her life forever but she would eventually 'get over it' should he not be condemned just because she can get over it? My dad walked out on my mum and us 3 kids for another woman when i was 14, it was the hardest time of my life, went off the rails at school the lot. Dad ended up splitting up with that woman a year later. We were driving in the car together the other week and i asked him if he regretted it he said to me that he has regretted it everyday since and would do anything for my mum back. | |

Bri, You wont just lose half the house, you will probably lose it all. The 'Parent with Care' usually keeps the house. Unless the 'Parent with Care'is the man and then his wife gets the house. But it only a house, theres loads of them for sale. The tricky bit is your kids. If you wife gets arsey she can make it very difficult for you to see them. And what about the dog? She could have it put down out of spite. I know of just such a case. If you are not happy being married, fair enough. End it as amicably as possible. But to swap one wife for another seems a bit pointless. The new one will give you just as much stick, but with a bit more energy. Meanwhile you will still get hassle from the old one. And what happens when you get the new one pregnant and her replacement is a much more glamorous nineteen year old? I doubt wife nr 2 will be too happy with that. My advice? Get yourself a shed and a pipe and spend more time in there. | |

I read the bit "kids are tougher then you imagine". As someone who's father did something similar to you and left my mother for a younger woman, i absoloutly resented him for splitting up the family. If your not careful and have an attitude like that, not taking their feelings fully into account they may resent you too. Don't just act on impulses, think of your family aswell as yourself. I know it's your life, but the moment you had kids was the moment you lost the rights to only act for yourself. | |

if this is true you are a fooking idiot. How can you lie to your wife and kids? If you carry on with this your kids will hate you and it will damage them forever. you haven't got a clue mate. as for that little slapper, how would she feel if her dad did this to her mam? She is only 20 probably too young to have thought this through, it isn't fair to get involved with her and have her break up a family. Try and sort things with your wife.
